DVDTalk's First Annual Historical Challenge!
Drive-In Movie Challenge Have you tried one of the DVD Talk Challenges yet? If not, this month's Historical Challenge would be a great place to start. The challenge is to watch as many historical movies (and TV shows count too!) as you can. Westerns, war films, Biopics, period films, and sports movies all qualify. Just post a list of the movies you've watch here updating it as needed, and then join in the discussion in this thread. It's a lot of fun and a great excuse to watch some old favorite or to unwrap that disc that you've been meaning to pop into your player. The Challenge officially starts on June 1st, so reserve your spot today and join the fun!

DVDTalk Interview: The Spierig Brothers
The Spierig Brothers This is the second time DVDTalk writer Jack Giroux has had the pleasure to talk to the Spierig Brothers (you can read part one here) about their vampire blood fest Daybreakers. The directing duo are reminiscent of plenty of horror and genre directors out there... they make insane blood bath reddened films and yet they couldn't be more friendly. They're also talented filmmakers who are full of interesting things to say. This time around they discuss the handling of the tricky tone, the design of the diseased vampires (Subsiders), and their choice of obviously casting against type. Don't forget to check out our other exclusive interviews including a talk with Kevin Smith. Be sure to read part one, part two, and part three of our discussion with the interesting director!
